I remember the whole idea for Driver's Eyes was born on a cold, rainy night near Frankfurt (Germany) on the A3 Autobahn.
A driver went too far and caused a three-hour traffic jam in the middle of the night by driving too fast and ignoring every traffic sign and warning, which ended in a crash with an oversized caravan carrying multiple large concrete bridge sections.
After three hours stuck on the highway, we went through the traffic jam; my first reaction was:
Why on earth weren't we, as drivers, informed about the problem, how long it might take to solve, and so on?
This is how the DE concept was born; of course, in those first days, the name and many details were unknown; those things cleared up and came to my mind by the months spent on the roads (highways) - day and night in Europe as a professional driver.
